Core Programs
We work alongside local communities to strengthen Village Forest management through three core pillars. Our approach integrates ecosystem protection, forest-based economic development, and local governance capacity to ensure long-term forest conservation while delivering tangible community benefits
Protecting forest and peatland hydrological functions, biodiversity, and land cover stability
We support the protection of forest areas, peatland hydrology, and biodiversity through community patrols, rehabilitation, fire prevention, forest monitoring, and other conservation efforts to maintain ecological functions and carbon stocks.
Developing eco-friendly, forest-based commodities and enterprises to enhance community well-being
We develop non-timber forest products and ecosystem services into sustainable livelihoods by strengthening community enterprises, adding value, and unlocking the potential of carbon, water, and other natural resources.
Strengthening Lembaga Pengelola Hutan Desa (LPHD) capacity and collaborative governance for sustainable forest management.
We strengthen the capacity of Village Forest Management Bodies (LPHD) and community institutions through enhanced governance, planning, capacity building, and partnerships to achieve independent and sustainable village forest management.
